As September 2011 she has joined the Office of the President of the Sixty Six General Assembly as the Special Coordinator for the Third Committee and Civil Society.In Mars 2009, she has been designated as the Permanent Representative to the United Nations and ECOSOC of the "International Association of the Economic and Social Councils and Similar institutions" (AICESIS), IGO in Observer status with ECOSOC. Dr. Mezoui teaches at the French University, Sciences Po, Paris, France a course on "United Nations from theory to Practice". She is also an Associate Fellow at UNITAR, specializing on MDG Training and Teaching.
- Member of AFICS(NY) since 2008, and Co-Chair of its Committee on NGO Relations and Information since 2009.- Joined the United Nations Secretariat at Headquarters in 1981, and served in various positions of increasing complexity and supervisory responsibility in the fields of human resources management and general administration.- As a human resources manager, she directed her efforts to bringing nationals from under-represented countries to serve at the United Nations, particularly women from Africa, Asia and the Middle East. In these functions, she lectured regularly at universities around the world to explain the UN system and promote the Organization's internship programmes. As Executive Officer of the former Department for Development Support and Management Services, she undertook challenging assignments relating to restructuring and downsizing.- From 1997 until her retirement in 2009, she was Chief of the NGO Section of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs, where she was instrumental in formulating and implementing the Secretary-General's policy to promote the greater participation of NGOs in the UN's work.
