The following group meetings of the CPPCC members will be open to Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Foreign journalists in the afternoon of March 5 during the Second Session of the 14thCPPCC National Committee.
I. Information on 27 Open-door Groups at 6 residences
1.Beijing Conference Center (8 groups) :
The Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang (Group 4), the China Democratic League (Group 6), the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party (Group 10), the Communist Youth League of China and the All-China Youth Federation (Group 16), the All-China Women’s Federation (Group 19), press and publications (Group 43), welfare and social security (Group 47) and other specially invited figures (Group 58).
2.Beijing Friendship Hotel (4 groups):
The China Association for Science and Technology (Group 23), science and technology (Group 31), the environment and resources (Group 49), and ethnic minorities(Group 51).
3.Fengda International Hotel (5 groups):
The China National Democratic Construction Association (Group 8), the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (Group 21), literature and the arts (Group 27), the social sciences (Group 32), and sports (Group 42).
4.Huabei Hotel (5 groups):
The Taiwan Democratic Self-government League (Group 13), the All-China Federation of Taiwan Compatriots (Group 24), education (Group 39), medicine and health (Group 45), and friendship with foreign countries ( Group 46)
5. Beijing Railway Hotel (3 groups):
The China Association for Promoting Democracy (Group 9), economics (Group 34), and agriculture (Group 37).
6. No.9 Dacheng Road Hotel (2 groups):
The China Zhi Gong Party (Group 11), and the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (Group 25).
II.Tips and Guidance
1.The open-door group meetings of the CPPCC members start at 15:00 on March 5. Journalists with their valid press passes are allowed to access the meeting rooms 30 minutes earlier along designated routes after going through security check. Entrance will be closed when the number of journalists exceeds the maximum housing capacity of various meeting rooms.
2.The journalists are permitted to photo-taking and video-recording during the group meetings. There will be no Q&A sessions for the meetings.
3.Please switch off or mute your mobile phone during the meetings and follow the rules and guidance of the residences.
4.The journalists are recommended to take public transportation to the residences as the parking spaces there are limited.
