CCRP Delegation Attended IPCR International Seminar 2023

On December 6th-8th, headed by Ven.Shi Minghai, member of CCRP and Vice President of the Buddhist Association of China, CCRP Delegation attended IPCR International Seminar 2023 in Kobe, Japan, themed with“Challenges for Building Peace Community in the Northeast Asia”. Representatives of religious communities and related scholars from China, Japan and Korea attended the seminar. For CCRP Delegation, this was the first offline meeting since the COVID-19 Pandemic. Participants included Yu Shuang, Deputy Secretary-General of CCRP, Dou Wen,member of CCRP and Vice President of Chinese Association of Religious Studies, Zhu Jie, member of CCRP and Secretary-General of Beijing Catholic Pastoral Committee, and Ma Jie, member of CCRP and the Director of the Islamic Culture Research Department of the Chinese Islamic Association. By delivering keynote speeches on sub-topics, hosting parallel sessions and participating in interactive discussions, CCRP Delegation spread the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind, Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative and Global Civilization Initiative,elaborated the positive role of Chinese religious communities in promoting exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations and faiths, and described China’s remarkable achievements in ecological civilization construction.
