CCRP Member Addressed at the First Annual Conference of CICA Non-Governmental Forum

      On May 25, 2015, the First Annual Conference of the Non-governmental Forum of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) was held in Beijing. Around 400 Chinese and foreign people, including former political heavyweights from CICA member states and observer states as well as some countries outside the continent, and representatives from well-known think tanks, social groups and media, as well as foreign envoys in China, attended the Conference.
      CCRP Executive Vice Secretary-General Ma Yuxiang and CCRP member, Assistant to Dean of China Islamic Institute, Imam Cong Enlin were invited to meeting. Imam Cong Enlin addressed at the Roundtable Meeting of Non-Governmental Organizations’ Active Role in Building Community of Common Destiny in Asia. He introduced work of CCRP and China Islamic Association, and efforts by Chinese religious circles to promote religious harmony and friendly exchanges. He said in his speech that Asia has diverse cultures, and religious exchanges should serve as bridge to link people from different countries, nations and beliefs, and belt to safeguard peace and development. Religious groups and believers has the duty to exercise religious harmony, dialogues among different cultures and religions, the spirits of respect, tolerance, mutual learning, in order to play active role in safeguarding peace and promoting development.
