CCRP Delegation Attended 2024 IPCR Seminar in ROK

From December 18 to 20, 2024, a CCRP delegation participated in the 2024 IPCR Seminar in Seoul, the ROK, including Ven. Meng Zhiling, CCRP Vice President and Resident Vice President of the China Taoist Association, Imam Ma Zhongping, CCRP Vice President and Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Islamic Association, Rev. Guo Jincai, Resident Vice President of the Bishops’ Conference of Catholic Church in China, and Mrs. Zheng Xiaoyun, Director of the Institute of World Religions of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

The delegation held discussions with religious figures, experts and researchers from Japan and ROK on such topics as “religion in the AI era”, “gender justice and religion”, and “implementing the Global Civilization Initiative and building a community with a shared future for humanity”. The CCRP representatives shared their views on what challenges and opportunities AI may bring for religion, how religion can help protect women’s rights and interests, and why cross-religious and cross-cultural exchange and cooperation is important. They also introduced the China-proposed vision of building a community with a shared future for humanity and the Global Civilization Initiative, and elaborated on China’s policy of freedom of religious belief and the development of religions in the country.
