The Taoist Association of China Convened the Prayer for Peace in Commemoration of the 77th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War

On the morning of September 5th, 2022, in response to the initiative of China Committee on Religion and Peace (CCRP), the Taoist Association of China held the “Prayer for Peace in Commemoration of the 77th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War” at Baiyun Taoist Temple and Huodezhenjun Taoist Temple in Beijing. The event was hosted to engrave the history on the mind, pay tribute to those who laid down their lives, pray for world peace, and carry forward the fine tradition of Taoists in pursuing patriotism, devoting to Taoism, defending the country and protecting the people, whereby showing their great aspirations for security and prosperity of the motherland, peace on the planet and harmony between all living creatures. Li Guangfu, Vice President of CCRP and President of the Taoist Association of China, Meng Zhiling and Yuan Zhihong, Vice Presidents of the Taoist Association of China, Zhang Gaocheng, member of CCRP and Vice President of the Taoist Association of China, presided over the prayer. They were also joined by Yu Shuang, Deputy Secretary-General of CCRP.
