Wang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, made the remarks at a session of the China Committee on Religion and Peace (CCRP).
Wang stressed the CCRP's role in introducing China's religious policies to the international community.
At the session, Pagbalha Geleg Namgyae was reelected to be the president of the organization Founded in 1994, the CCRP consists of representatives from five major religions in China including Buddhism, Taoism, Islam, Catholicism and Christianity.
