Wang Zhongyu, male, Han nationality, a native of Changchun, Jilin Province, born in February 1933; joined Communist Party of China (CPC) in May 1956; began working in May 1950; graduated from Party School of CPC Central Committee, a junior college graduate and a senior engineer.

1953 - 1967  Workshop technician, deputy workshop chief, secretary to the director's office, engineer and deputy section chief of planning, Jilin Paper Mill

1967 - 1970  Subjected to rude treatment and sent to do manual work at a workshop and on a farm during "Cultural Revolution"

1970 - 1975  Deputy head of production management group, deputy director and director of Party Committee Office, Jilin Paper Mill

1975 - 1980  Deputy director of Revolutionary Committee, deputy director and chief engineer, Jilin Paper Mill

1980 - 1981  Deputy director-general of No.1 Light Industry Bureau of Jilin Province

1981 - 1982  Attended a training class at Party School of CPC Central Committee

1982 - 1983  Director-general of No. 1 Light Industry Department of Jilin Province and secretary of its Leading Party Members' Group

1983 - 1985  Standing Committee member of CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and director of its Research Office, Standing Committee member and secretary-general of CPC Jilin Provincial Committee
