Liu Yandong, female, Han nationality, a native of Nantong, Jiangsu Province, born in November 1945; joined Communist Party of China (CPC) in July 1964; began working in March 1970; graduated from School of Administration, Jilin University, with a major in theory of political science, holding the diploma of an in-service postgraduate and a doctor's degree.

1978 - 1980  Deputy secretary of Party committee of Beijing Chemical Experimental Plant

1980 - 1981  Functionary of Organization Department of CPC Beijing Municipal Committee

1981 - 1982  Deputy secretary of CPC Committee of Chaoyang District, Beijing
